After reading this book, I felt it defined my daily challenges as a leader and described how I can approach them. I believe good leaders understand themselves and are able to see themselves from a bird’s-eye view (TOTO MATRIX, THE HERO’S JOURNEY). Then, they communicate and take appropriate actions and changes at each of these stages of growth.

On the other hand, there are things a leader must never change. Leadership Reinvention is not so much about what we want to change, but more about what we want to keep. I always keep in mind how to balance Fujifilm Vietnam’s Vision, Mission, Core Values—which must not change—with the areas where we must create change for sustainable growth.

I have always strived to create an empowering corporate culture that serves as a foundation for our employees. When employees share the same goal and vision, they can proactively think of ways to achieve it, fostering ownership and creating results. I learned from the book, it is crucial to reinforce and expand our comfort zone in order to create this Peer Power.

Fujifilm Vietnam expands diverse businesses such as digital cameras, instax, cosmetics, medical solutions, and industrial materials. While our businesses are diversifying, I can proudly say our core values are “people” and “culture.” To strengthen it, as a leader, I must create leaders. It’s an endless challenge, but I want to enjoy this challenge more than anyone else. I would like to deliver this book to all people managers in FUJIFILM Vietnam. It is kind of like a leadership blueprint for us.
